1. Lineolated Parakeet: Best Small Parrot?
Well, hello there, amigos! It's your amiable amiga, Lorenza, the vivacious Yellow-naped Amazon, here to introduce you to a distant relative from the New World – the delightful Lineolated Parakeets, or Linnies, as we fondly call them.
Let me tell you why these Linnies are so charming! First, they are pretty quiet and make the cutest cooing sound, which is quite endearing. And their size is just perfect – 6 to 7 inches, usually around 50 grams! You won't find them chomping on your fingers too often since they are generally not aggressive. But, like any polite parrot, they might give a little nibble when they're scared or getting to know you. Plus, they get along swimmingly with other parrots of their size, making them excellent companions for a diverse flock.
Now, Linnies come dressed in a marvelous array of colors – from sunny yellow to sophisticated grey, mesmerizing blue, earthy olive, and even a dreamy dusty lavender. Hand-raised Linnies are particularly curious about people and oh-so-friendly! They'll steal your heart in no time.
In the wild, these charming Linnies live amidst dense vegetation, so they appreciate a hearty veggie like chard, along with a balanced diet of pellets and seeds. Oh, and here's a quirky tidbit – they love to hide! So, be cautious and check behind pillows, my friends, to make sure your little Linnie isn't playing a clever game of peek-a-boo with you! They're clever little mischief-makers, but that's what makes them all the more lovable.

2. The #1 Mistake People Make When Buying A Parrot
Hi there, folks! Rosie the Green-winged Macaw here, ready to share some parrot wisdom with you!
The #1 biggest mistake people make when getting a parrot is buying with their eyes only – choosing colors without knowing the bird's personality. I gotta say, it happened to me too! When parrots were first brought to the US, people preferred Scarlet Macaws over us Greens because of our beak size. But guess what? We're gentle giants and amazing companions! Our relaxed disposition makes us top-notch Macaws!
Now, cuddliness is something many parrot lovers desire, but not everyone researches which parrots are cuddly. Well, let me show you how cuddly I am, along with some other cuddle buddies in my flock at home. Check out this delightful video to see just how loving and affectionate we can be. Remember, there's more to a parrot than just looks – it's all about finding the perfect feathered friend that matches your heart and soul!
Acutally, that’s why my human, Kalyn, is writing a book now called, “The Perfect Apartment Parrot”- which will be available in a month or so!
